About OYP
Oconee Youth Playhouse is a non-profit organization founded in 1998 to present high-quality musical theater productions to the community while at the same time providing young people with valuable experience in the performing arts. Auditions for OYP shows are open to the community and we have had performers as young as first-graders in several productions.
While most of our shows are staged at the Oconee County Civic Center in Watkinsville, OYP was proud to inaugurate the Community Series presented by The Classic Center Theatre in downtown Athens in 2007 and to be asked to be part of the 2008-09 series.
We plan to expand our web site in the future to include more photos and details about past and current season shows, so hope you will bookmark this site and revisit often.
Meanwhile, see the OYP Spotlight newsletter.
